Job Description:
Realtime Worlds, creators of the No. 1 hit game Crackdown, are looking for a GAME OPERATIONS CENTER TECHNICIAN to join the US Office in Boulder, Colorado.
The position will require support and surveillance for all infrastructure required to support the operation of the online gaming environment. This would include application monitoring and publishing, monitoring of Systems and Network devices in remote data centres and offices.
Responsibilities:
- Interact with support staff to resolve issues.
- Monitor hardware / software via proactive monitoring software.
- Respond to possible outages identified by monitoring applications.
- Monitor and respond to all emails involving the GOC group.
- Maintain problem ownership and accountability for all GOC related issues.
- Publish content data as needed.
- Document procedures required to support the operations environment.
Qualifications Required:
- Good college degree in a relevant subject or equivalent experience.
Experience Required:
- 1 – 2 years experience as a Systems Administrator: Windows.
- Experience with running an application.
- Experience with network troubleshooting.
- Experience with server hardware and software troubleshooting.
Knowledge/Skills Required:
- The ability to communicate professionally in a fast-paced setting while maintaining a positive working environment.
- Ability to work in a team environment with 24/7 responsibility.
- Attention to detail and the ability to perform routine tasks flawlessly on a consistent basis.
- Rack servers and patch cables as needed.
- Ability to perform analytical thinking.
- Ability to work shifts as required in 24×7 work environment.
- Demonstrated commitment to providing excellent customer service.
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with teammates is essential.
Knowledge/Skills a plus:
- NOC and / or datacentre experience a plus.
- MSCE / CCNA certification is a plus but not required.
- Linux experience is a plus but not required.
