Gary Dale, CEO
Gary Dale was named COO of Take -Two Interactive Software in July 2008. He served as Executive Vice President since December 2007. Prior to that time, he was COO of the Company’s Rockstar Games publishing label. Gary previously served as the European Managing Director of Capcom, a Japanese interactive entertainment company, from November 2003 to January 2007. From 2000 to 2003, he was CEO of Broadband Studios.
From 1994 to 2000 Dale worked for BMG, where he was Senior Vice President of International Marketing at BMG Music, overseeing all marketing activities outside of North America. Prior to that, he was President of the Interactive Software and Video Division of BMG Entertainment from 1994 until Take2 acquired BMG Interactive in March 1998.
At Walt Disney, Gary served as Vice President of Asia Pacific from 1992 to 1994 and Vice President Sales and Marketing for Europe from 1989 to 1992.
Dave Jones, Creative Director
David has been involved in the video game industry since 1983. He is well known for his past company (DMA Design Ltd.) and for his catalogue of hit games. Over the years David has written and designed over 15 games, most notably two global hit franchises which still sell today. Lemmings, with sales of over 20 million across 20 formats, and Grand Theft Auto with sales of over 50 million. After a merger and successful IPO with Gremlin Group PLC, and subsequent take over by Infogrames, David left to pursue a new goal. Currently creating what he believes will be the first mass market on-line video game.
Tony Harman, President
Tony was Director of Development and Acquisitions for Nintendo of America from 1989 to 1996. During his tenure his departments developed some of the most successful Nintendo titles including the Donkey Kong and Killer Instinct franchises. Tony left Nintendo in 1996 to join Dave Jones’ company DMA Design as President of DMA Design, Inc. Tony then co-founded Devil’s Thumb Entertainment with Dave and after three profitable years they sold the company to VR1 Entertainment. Tony served as Executive VP, COO, and then president of VR1 as it continued to grow and eventually reached 240 developers in four countries (US, Japan, Canada, Russia). Tony left VR1 in 2002 to co-found Realtime Worlds with Dave Jones.
Ian Hetherington, Chairman and Chief Strategy Officer
Ian has been involved in the video game industry since 1982. He founded and was Managing Director of Psygnosis Limited, which became one of the most successful UK based publishers. Psygnosis was sold to Sony in 1993 and Ian was retained as the Managing Director of Sony Computer Entertainment Europe from 1994-1997 where he was instrumental in the design and implementation of the hardware and software for Sony’s new Playstation console, and oversaw the development of the European launch catalogue (80% market share at launch).
